We accept graduate students from UCLA’s Neuroscience PhD program, as well as the Psychology Department’s PhD program in the Behavioral Neuroscience area. Prior research experience in neuroscience or a related field is highly desired, but not required. Feel free to contact me at avi@psych.ucla.edu if you are interested in discussing our work or joining the lab. Note that we cannot accept graduate students directly. They must first be admitted in one of the PhD programs listed above.

We are currently accepting only new graduate students and postdocs. Informal inquiries are welcome. Please note that we are not taking high-school students. We also do not take undergrads that are not current UCLA students.
We are not taking new undergraduate students at this time.
We welcome undergraduate students to join our team. If you are interested please send your C.V. and GPA, a cover letter explaining what you aim to accomplish in the lab and how much time you can commit to research. We cannot take students that do not have at least 15 hours per week to work in the lab, students that are not from UCLA and students who want to join only during the summer. The Psychology Department provides several opportunities for undergraduate research, including paid research positions, as explained here. We highly encourage applications from students with backgrounds in biology, neuroscience, engineering and computer sciences.
